Celebrating Black Scientist Panel:
Dr. Constance Foreman Dr. Constance was raised in Prince Georges County, Maryland with her loving parents and younger brother. She spent her childhood years going to 4-H camp, playing tennis and cultivating her interests in the sciences before earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in St. Mary’s City, MD. Following undergraduate school, Dr. Foreman took time off to serve with AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) before earning her Master of Medical Science degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Va. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, Va. Dr. Foreman has held various leadership positions over the years but is most proud of commissioning in the United States Navy Reserve. Dr. Constance works full time seeing patients with Novant Health but understands that the health of an individual extends beyond the walls of a clinic or hospital and founded Beyond Clinic Walls Wellness, a health education business with the purpose of reminding people that with practical and sustainable lifestyle changes we can all be healthy.
Dr. Gina Francis Dr. Gina Francis is a graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a B.A. in Print Journalism from Howard University. A product of the Camp Lejeune Dependent, Onslow County Public, and local Catholic schools, she graduated from Jacksonville Senior High School. Dr. Francis is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association. She is a member of Friends of Hammocks Beach and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and supports the Carolina Animal Protection Society and New River Foundation. Dr. Francis formerly served as president of the Montford Point Marine Association Camp Lejeune Chapter 10 Auxiliary, and is currently the Public Relations Officer for the National MPMA Ladies Auxiliary. She has practiced in North Carolina and Camp Lejeune since 2003.
Dr. Thomasena Irving Dr. Thomasena Irving is a distinguished pharmacist and a graduate of Howard University, with 35 years of experience. She has worked as a Biological Research Assistant in parasitology and pharmaceutical laboratory research, focusing on data collection and analysis. Additionally, Dr. Irving is an Army veteran with eight years of active duty service.
Rosh Foskey Rosh Foskey is the Clinic Director for the Caring Community Clinic, which provides medical care to uninsured and medically at-risk clients. He was born and raised in Jacksonville North Carolina, where he graduated from Southwest High School. Rosh is a qualified Clinic Director he received his formal training by way of the United States Army. Prior to being the Caring Community Clinic Director Rosh was the Clinic Manager for the NATO Health Clinic in Brussels Belgium. He is a graduate of the Academy of Health and Sciences in Fort Sam Houston Texas. He holds 2 Associates Degrees from Coastal Carolina Community College in Medical Office Administration and Criminal Justice. Rosh has more than a decade of medical experience gained from working in many different facets of the medical field.
