Calling all young scientists ages 6-12! Join us for our exciting Sturgeon City Science Series, where learning becomes an adventure.

What to expect:

August 14 - Nighttime Crabbing

The children will dive into the world of blue crabs, learning about their unique molting process, different crab species, and even the biggest crabs in the ocean. This hands-on experience includes catch-and-release crabbing, teaching children about marine life conservation while having a blast.

October 02 - Bird and Nature Walk

Discover the magic of the evening as we explore the wetlands to spot birds and listen for the unique calls of twilight creatures. This guided stroll offers a peaceful way for children to connect with the local ecosystem.

November 06 - LEGO Fun

Kids will put their creativity to the test as they tackle exciting building challenges and bring their wildest architectural visions to life during this hands-on LEGO adventure.

January 29 - Polar Expedition

Join us for an indoor polar expedition as we learn about Arctic and Antarctica. We will learn about the remarkable animals that call the ice home and see the amazing survival traits that help them brave the freeze.

March 19 - Pokemonology

Calling all trainers! Together, we’ll dive into their unique habitats, remarkable survival traits, and special powers to uncover a fascinating truth: these fantastic beasts have a lot more in common with real-world animals than you might think.

May 21 - My Pet Dinosaur

Forget dogs and cats, what if your next pet was a dinosaur? Join us as we explore the prehistoric world to figure out what a Spinosaurus eats, where a Pteranodon would sleep, and what it would actually take to raise a prehistoric giant in the modern world!
