Adventure Awaits: Drop-Off Homeschool Classes for Ages 6-12!

Join us for a day of hands-on fun and scientific exploration at Sturgeon City Environmental Education Center.

  • Dates and Times: We offer multiple dates throughout September to May, each with different environmental and STEAM theme.

September 10 - 10am-12pm - Deep Dive: Sharks

Explore the mystery, history, and science of the ocean's most fascinating apex predators.

October 06 - 10am-12pm - Buggin Out!

Join us to learn all about bugs, their incredible homes, and the amazing ways they help humans every single day. We'll discover what makes an insect truly unique and wrap up the fun with an outdoor bug hunt (weather permitting).

November 05 - 1pm-3pm - Curious Chemists

Explore how chemistry shapes the world around us through experiments, applications, and exploration of scientific concepts.

December 15 - 1pm-3pm - Astro Adventures

Launch into the wonders of space by learning about planets, stars and galaxies. Discover how these celestial objects make up our universe and learn how they move and interact with one another.

January 07 - 10am-12pm - Chain Reaction Action

Understand the world of chemistry by exploring matter and the chemical reactions behind everyday phenomena.

February 02 - 1pm-3pm - Inside Out: The Human Machine

Navigate through the human body to uncover the structure and function of the body's interconnected systems.

March 04 - 1pm-3pm - Tectonic Trekkers

Discover Earth's ever-changing landscape by studying plate tectonics and the geologic processes that form our world.

April 06 - 1pm-3pm - Conductors & Connectors

Journey into the world of electricity by studying conductors, insulators, and the circuits that power everyday technology.

May 13 - 1pm-3pm - The Adaptation Station

Explore the fascinating world of adaptations, where you'll discover the amazing ways plants and animals use their unique physical features and behaviors to survive, find food, and thrive in a variety of habitats.
